Parents Information

Frome Youth Choir is a community choir for children and young people ( one of the few  of its kind in the country) that has been established since 1984.

We are an inclusive choir and we do not audition children and young people – they just have to enjoy singing with us. Our members seem to develop many new friendships and they are very caring of each other—this is one of its strengths.

We divide the Choir into Junior and Senior sections, each with its own, highly skilled and experienced Musical Director, and the repertoire is broad and designed to appeal to the particular age ranges. It is not necessary to read music, but it can be a good place to begin to learn, for those who want to.
We meet every Thursday evening in term time from 6.00pm – 7.45pm at St John’s First School and  members pay a small half termly fee.

The choir participates in a number of events each year, including our own concerts and workshops and involvement in community events.

We meet every Thursday evening in term time at St John’s First School, Christchurch Street.

We arrive at 5.45pm for a prompt start at 6.00pm and we finish at 7.45pm

During the evening we have a short 10 minute break, you might like to bring a snack and a drink to have.
